What riding experience do I need for Himalayan or Indian tours?
For our Nepal high-altitude and Indian trans-Himalayan tours (Upper Mustang, Spiti Valley, Leh-Ladakh), riders should have intermediate-to-advanced motorcycle experience and feel confident on loose gravel, rocky trails, switchbacks, and varying road surfaces. For coastal routes like Goa: Coast & Kingdoms and our Wild Roads of Nepal tour, intermediate tarmac and light dual-sport experience is plenty.
How much is the deposit, and when is the remaining balance due?
A $500 USD deposit reserves your confirmed seat on any scheduled departure. The remaining tour balance is due 45 days prior to the expedition start date. We accept international bank wire transfers and all major credit cards. Deposits are transferable to any future date up to 60 days before departure without penalty.
What motorcycle fleet do you provide, and what upgrades are fitted?
Our primary fleet consists of latest-generation, factory-prepared Royal Enfield Himalayan 450s (Sherpa 452cc DOHC liquid-cooled engine, 40 PS power, Showa 200mm long-travel suspension, heavy-duty bash plates, crash guards, and dual-sport tyres). Our 4x4 mobile chase vehicle carries genuine spares and a complete backup spare motorcycle.
How do you handle high altitude and Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)?
Every itinerary is designed with gradual elevation gain for natural acclimatization. Our road captains monitor oxygen saturation twice daily, the 4x4 chase rig carries medical oxygen cylinders, and we maintain a 24/7 direct-dispatch emergency helicopter evacuation protocol across all Nepal districts.
What driving license and permits are required to ride legally?
You must hold a valid motorcycle license from your home country plus an International Driving Permit (IDP). A Nepal tourist visa is obtainable on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Our operations team handles all Restricted Area Permits ($500 Upper Mustang RAP) and national park permits in advance.
